Deb Schmidt on Trust in our Educators
Deb Schmidt has made no qualms about her complete lack of trust in our Teachers, Staff, Counselors, and District. On a number of occasions, Deb Schmidt has actively attempted to convince parents to remove their children from District 49.
Deb Schmidt doesn’t believe in public education and wants you to only homeschool.
Deb Schmidt wants to close the Department of Education so you must homeschool your children.
Deb Schmidt has a complete lack of trust in District 49 Teachers, Staff, and Counselors.

Deb Schmidt on LGBTQIA+ Student’s Rights
Deb Schmidt has made attempts to eliminate LGBTQIA+ clubs started by the very students that are part of the community. She has collaborated with former Board of Education Director and alleged felon, Ivy Liu and a current Board of Education Director, Jamilynn D’Avola to push rules against supporting LGBTQIA+ clubs, students, and community members.
Deb Schmidt is so hateful she won’t even share the same COLOR with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Deb Schmidt on Teacher Pay and Funding Our Schools
Deb Schmidt has made a concerted effort to eliminate funding, convince the community not to support Mill Levy Overrides, and has actively cost the district thousands of dollars with frivolous lawsuits. She has a goal of eliminating funding for public education and is willing to use any means possible to eliminate the potential for your children to receive a proper education that will make them productive and successful members of society.
Deb Schmidt wants to stop people from voting for the MLO that will GUARANTEE raises for our teachers.

Deb Schmidt on Respect for Students
Deb Schmidt has a history of treating students like property. She has made a number of statements supporting this view and has engaged in disrespectful discourse while students are presenting or speaking. Something they go above and beyond to do as part of the representation for all other students at their schools.
Deb Schmidt will actively ‘boo’ and hold up signs when student representatives are presenting or speaking. She has no respect for students and does not view them as ‘real people,’
Deb Schmidt thinks the best way to address student suicide, is not to talk about it.
Deb Schmidt continues to surround herself with people that attack others in the community. Anyone who isn’t “on board” with their agenda is attacked, harassed, and insulted.
Deb Schmidt’s Association with Ivy Liu
Deb Schmidt has a long track record of working with Ivy Liu. Ivy and Deb Schmidt are core members of the D49 Guardians group that is unaffiliated with this site in any way.
Ivy Liu was a previous Board of Education Director that refused to acknowledge or support the majority of her district’s constituents. She refused to listen to or support any topic that was not based on extremist view of conservatism. Ivy Liu has been caught violating countless laws with support from Deb Schmidt.
Ivy Liu referenced Deb Schmidt on a number of occasions related to “research” Deb Schmidt did on topics, such as:
- Critical Race Theory
- Social and Emotional Learning
- LGBTQIA+ Rights
- Funding
Deb Schmidt and Sandy Lyons (pseudonym for Ivy Liu) think you should harass a Director candidate after he let his daughter paint his nails.
His daughter, who was 11 years old at the time, disagrees with Ivy and Deb’s assessment.
